Making Art out of Recycled Window Sashes
Recycled window sashes, glass and carefully selected plant material come together to create the unique, one of a kind art made by Living Earth Art Glass.
Along with protecting our environment, a portion of our history and past workmanship is preserved through recycling window sashes and panes of glass. A few of the window sashes used by this artist date back into the late 1800’s and were hand made. The window sashes are taken apart and rebuilt so they can hold the weight of the design placed within them. By restoring these sashes, they are kept out of landfills and utilized as a part of a 2-D mixed media form of art. All sashes are numbered, signed and dated by the artist, John Paglialunga.
